Booking Policy
Booking policy is based on the concept of Merriment as a family lodge, with the interests of Members having priority over those of friends, while also recognising that members should enjoy the privilege of being able to ski with friends.

ROUND 1: Bookings Open 2025-01-31 |
Public School Holiday Week: - In: 2025-07-06 - Out: 2025-07-13 Members with school-aged children may apply for a public-school holiday week. All school-aged children listed on the booking form must be accompanied by either a Member or their Spouse. If applications exceed the 14 available beds, a ballot will be conducted to determine which bookings are confirmed. Members will be advised of any spare beds for the week and the beds will be made available to Member Bookings as per below. |
| Member Bookings (other than Public School Holiday Week): Members may apply for one week (or part of a week) and have the option to book all 14 beds. However, all guests listed on the booking form must be either Members, their spouses, or their school-aged children.. |

Member Bookings (plus 2 friends per member): Members may apply for one week (or part of a week) or a second week (or part of a second week) during the period. Members can book all 14 beds, and up to 2 non-members per Member may be included on the booking form. |

ROUND 3: Bookings Open 2025-02-28 |
Friends of Merriment Bookings: Friends of a Merriment Member can apply for a booking during the ski season through their Member friend but must submit a sponsorship agreement from the Member who can vouch for the booking. The booking must be made by the Member. |

Member and Friends of Merriment Bookings: During the low season, bookings can be made for up to 1 week periods. A minimum of 8 booked beds will secure the entire lodge for the booked period. |
Conditions
- All booking decisions are at the discretion of the Booking Manager, in consultation with the Lodge Captain responsible for the relevant period.
- A Lodge Captain will be nominated for any time the Lodge is occupied and will be responsible for the lodge procedures being followed during the stay.
- The Lodge Captain is responsible for advising the Booking Manager of any changes to the names of people staying at the Lodge.
- All bookings are tentative until the total payment for the booking has been received.
- Payments will only be accepted from the Member making the booking.
- No booking will be accepted from any Member or for any Member with an outstanding account balance.
- A full lodge consists of 14 booked and paid for beds. If a booking is made for less than 14 beds, any remaining beds are available for booking by other parties.
- Preference may be given to whole week bookings over portion week bookings.
- Children under the age of 3 are not required to pay accommodation fees, unless they occupy a bed, in which case accommodation fees apply.
- In order to comply with NPWS lease conditions, children under the age of 3, irrespective of whether they do or do not occupy a bed, must be included on the booking form,
- No insurance cover, including but not limited to Personal Accident, Travel or Contents and Personal Valuables, is provided for by Merriment.
Cancellations
